Health check sporadic timeout

readiness check is :
Readiness: exec [/opt/appc/bin/health_check.sh] delay=10s timeout=1s period=10s #success=1 #failure=3

The health_check.sh command does a karaf bundle list and that can take 5 to 9 seconds to run. The timeout of 1s is too short and the period is problaby too short as well.
