During testing with integration team on heat environment (SB-07) today, noticed an issue where CLAMP deployed instance were not resolving the DNS correctly; hence required all input be provided as IPs.
Below is from instance deployed via Cloudify, CLAMP triggered.
ubuntu@onap-dcae:/opt/app/config$ sudo docker exec -it dcaegen2-analytics_tca_clampinstance_1 /bin/bash
root@075efaa347c8:/# ping dcae.api.simpledemo.onap.org
ping: unknown host dcae.api.simpledemo.onap.org
The same container deployed via Docker Compose
ubuntu@onap-dcae:/opt/app/config$ sudo docker exec -it mvp-dcaegen2-analytics-tca /bin/bash
root@mvp-dcaegen2-analytics-tca:/# ping dcae.api.simpledemo.onap.org
PING vm1.dcae.simpledemo.onap.org (10.0.4.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

64 bytes from 10.0.4.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.104 ms
From VM itself
ubuntu@onap-dcae:~$ ping dcae.api.simpledemo.onap.org
