Disaster Recovery for ONAP
-
Done
Today there is a gap in ONAP to achieve disaster recovery. Therefore in order to make the platform resilient it is important to be able to backup and then at a later point restore the components and the databases to the latest healthy state. In addition, this will also allow the replication of production, development or testing environments as needed.
This Epic will track the work required to achieve backup and recovery for critical applications for the ONAP El Alto release. In the EPIC, the requirement is that the backup is taken while there is no active transactions. The database backup mechanism design & implementation is mandatory for:
- A&AI component including JanusGraph/Cassandra database
- SDC component including Titan/Cassandra database
- SO component including MariaDB databases (catalogDB, requestDB, camunda)
- SDNC component including MariaDB database and MDSAL data store
