When Champ fails to a vertex to the DB because a uniqueness constraint is violated, it sends back a 500 / internal error response.

It should be sending back a 400/Bad-Request with a proper error message.

As part of this fix, we need to look at ensuring that Champ accurately reports error conditions it encounters when writing to the DB.
