I tried to run PAP, pointing to my local DMaaP server/topics.  Unfortunately, it was unable to connect, because it no longer supports the "effectiveTopic" property.  Upon further inspection, it appears that TopicParameters is missing a number of optional properties, several of which are critical to running in a secure environment:

• effectiveTopic
• apiKey
• apiSecret
• consumerGroup
• consumerInstance
• fetchTimeout
• fetchLimit
• useHttps
• userName
• password
• allowSelfSignedCerts

Note: if DME2 is used, even more properties must be defined (e.g., latitude & longitude).
