In the view for an archived VLM (Onboard -> Onboard Catalog -> Archived Items -> <VLM> ) add a "DELETE" button on the right hand side of the existing "RESTORE" button. The implementation of this button should invoke the existing endpoint to delete the VLM. A warning should be displayed first to warn that the action cannot be undone and looking for confirmation before proceeding.

If the operation fails an appropriate error message should be shown to the user indicating the reason for the failure.
