When a service is imported containing a data type definition that is different to the definition already deployed in the system then the definition in the system shall be updated as follows:

• Any additional properties of a data type shall be added to the existing definition
• These additionally added properties shall survive an upgrade irrespective of whether they are included in the new definition being deployed in upgrade, i.e. once added the properties will not be dropped
• No other changes to the existing definition will be supported
