When a default value is entered for a service input, the value shall be validated against the constraints defined for the input.

Constraints can be defined on the input definition (SDC-4346) or on the data type of the constraint (where it is of complex type). However we don't have a means of specifying a value for complex types so validating against the data type definition is of lower priority
