I am unable to assign any permissions to roles. When I execute the command to assign permissions the AAF GUI freezes, permissions get created but they never get assigned.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to command prompt in the GUI
2. issue: perm create <some type> * read <somerole>
3. the command line freezes, permission <some type> gets created but it is not assigned to <somerole>

Note:  The same happens if I try to grant an already existing permission to a role.
