Certain functions require direct access to a JDBC Connection from dblib (for example, sli needs this to access the BLOG containing the DG). The DBResourceManager implementation class provides a public getConnection() method for this, but that method is not exposed in the DbLibService interface and thus is not accessible to OSGi clients.
