• Universal VES Adaptor

      Enhancement/augmentation of ONAP/DCAE Collection layer with the capability to receive and convert the telemetry data from VNF’s in Native/legacy formats like SNMP, Syslog and Netflow to ONAP recommended VES format with a one-time configure and deploy approach and architecture.

      Scope:

      The scope of this story covers the below points.

      1. Develop functionality to convert received SNMP traps by SNMP trap receiver to VES format and push them to the DMaaP queue.
      2. Develop functionality to receive the Syslogs by listening on syslog port and convert the received syslogs to VES format and push them to the DMaaP queue.
      3. Develop functionality to receive the Netflow data by listening on corresponding port and convert the received Netflow data to VES format and push them to the DMaaP queue.
      4. Develop functionality in SDC/Design time framework to create mapping files for SNMP Trap processing during the run time by SNMP processer.
      5. Develop functionality in SDC/Design time framework to create mapping files for Syslog processing during the run time by Syslog processer.
      6. Develop functionality in SDC/Design time framework to create mapping files for Netflow processing during the run time by Netflow processer.

      Acceptance Criterion:

      As a ONAP/DCAE user, I should be able to receive all native/legacy format telemetry data like SNMP Traps, Syslogs and Netflow from the deployed VNF’s and convert it to VES format on the go by creating mapping files during the VNF onboarding process for all chosen events from the VNF and subscribe to the converted VES data on specific DMaaP queues. I should also be able to receive the telemetry data for any VNF with no specific mappings created by using default generic mappings and subscribing to a different DMaap queue.
