One of the main objectives for open sourcing ONAP is to enable easier development of compliant VNFs.
The ONAP project includes a set of open source Reference VNFs that are used for testing and demonstration purposes. These Reference VNFs also act as examples of good coding practices and documentation practices that should be a model for other VNFs to follow.
Reference VNFs are managed through the Integration project.
Reference VNF documentation should include:

• Compliance against VNF Guidelines & Requirements (at VNF Acquistion time)
• Validation testing reports ( from onboarding time)
• Integration testing configurations
• user guides etc.
