BBS, Broadband Service use case proposal for dublin release
Colloboration project between Huwei, swisscom and Nokia. Interested in seeking further colloboration.
Broadband solution based on PON. Several sub-parts
- Nomadic ONT (customer with a customer facing service moves location, meaning moves the ONT to a new access connection)
- Subcription plan change
There was a question about billing, and it was clarified that is outside of ONAP. There was a question about MEF interfaces, and it was indicated that it hasn't been decided. It was commented that the TMF specs could be used as well.
Levages BBF forum specifications.
It has a CFS covering several subdomain RFS.
It was clarified that the "infrastructure" was already provisioned, hence the "resource facing service" for the internet access is like an allotted resource.
Gil: the blue xxx M&C are controllers/Managers outside ONAP; and seen as some sort of allotted resource.
It can be seen as a superset of OSAM, however there is a new aspect regarding the nomadic use case. In some ways it covers:
- changing the resource for a service (resource moving, then reconfiguring, but keeping that service)
- Changing the service, hence the resources
It is largely based on using the existing capabilties and evaluating if the platform is good enough, then showing in integrationThere was a dialogue on the modelling on how to treat the underlying resources (like a PNF or like a VNF. This will have an impact on the ONAP impacts.
The action is to circle back to Archcom to clarify how the underlying resources appear to ONAP in order to re-evaluate the ONAP impacts
