What
In DCAE-DS Composition, when dragging a VF from the right side box to the central canvas the UI fails silently if the VF is not valid in some way. The simplest reproducible VF to do this is a fully empty VF, but seemingly also any problems in the attached TOSCA files will cause the same behaviour.
When checking the details with browser developer tools, it seems there is an unhandled 500 from the server side. Full HAR package attached, short versions of request and reply below.

Expected Result
Informative error message about what went wrong and what the user can do about it. Preferably a link to documentation as the VF requirements are a complex issue.
