Feedback from expert level template designers, is that they find it quicker to design them in a text editor.  This group is creating the sample templates for RAN / CORE slicing , we need these templates to be SDC compatible when they are shipped with the product.

At a high level, the initial template design would be done in SDC , and we would provide an option to allow the template to be edited offline , and then re-imported to SDC.

 Allows for import of all handcrafted templates + simple offline editing / reimport to SDC

• SDC CSAR changes from current format to align with manually created template structure used today
  • Template + model 
  • Downloading a template will result in this structure for templates based on the specific model only
• SDC will allow the import of CSAR's of new structure
• SDC will provide enhanced error reporting for Import to make it easier for user to troubleshoot failed imports - by adjusting the template and / or adjust the system deployed VFC's etc 
  • i.e. invalid content or missing VFC's in the template - full scope of error logging to be analyzed
  • One current issue is that if an import fails , the VFC versions which the importing template is composed still have their versions incremented / or are partially updated
