Strictly speaking, the current AAI schema does NOT support any PCI devices or any other generic devices. The reason why current AAI schema can ‘accommondate’ discovery of network PCI devices is that AAI uses OpenStack flavor HPA capability as a workaround discovery mechanism, which I think is not the appropriate way to discovery generic h/w acceleration resources in the long term. Since flavor is only available to OpenStack, but not suitable for k8s & RSD, and how OpenStack, k8s, and RSD will use those resources is quite different. We might need to think of a more generic AAI schema to represent those capabilities.
